About this product

This hand-crafted brass idol depicts Nandi, the sacred bull, gatekeeper and eternal devotee of Lord Shiva. In Vedic tradition Nandi is honoured as Shiva's first disciple, and devotees seek his blessing before approaching Mahadev. The idol is pre-energised before dispatch.

FAQs

Nandi is Lord Shiva's vahana (mount), gatekeeper, and most devoted disciple. In every Shiva temple, Nandi faces the Shivling — tradition holds that he is in perpetual meditation on his Lord. When you seek Shiva's blessings, it is Nandi who carries your prayers forward. Placing a Nandi statue facing your Shivling at home replicates this sacred arrangement and is believed to dramatically amplify the power of Shiva worship.
